My passion and life’s work is to facilitate transformation-in myself, in others and in the world. I work with people who are ready to step fully into their lives and bodies and who are ready for the kind of work that brings lasting change and a paradigm shift.
I was drawn to healing and embodiment as many people are: because of chronic pain, emotional distress and behavioral patterns that were no longer supportive. Unsatisfied with shallow or artificial modern “cures,” I dove into serious meditation and yogic traditions and underwent years of body-based therapy as well as group work. This reawakened my connection to my body, to its deep wisdom and connection with others, which had been severed due to trauma and neglect. Over the past several years I’ve become a student of Interpersonal Neurobiology, depth empathy and Polyvagal Theory through the work of Dr. Dan Siegel, Sarah Peyton, Stephen Porges and others. The grounding of neuroscience combined with the meditative traditions I’ve practiced has given me enormous inspiration and a large toolkit to work with myself and others, and a conceptual framework that explains our lives while maintaining their sacredness.
I continue to challenge myself to grow and heal, engaging in weekly therapeutic work of my own, receiving both mentorship and supervision. I continue to learn about liberation strategies that reach towards all people, the environment and the future. I participate in group work and am committed to being a part of the change that’s so desperately needed in the world right in this moment. Integrating everything I’ve learned improves my work with clients and helps to deepen the healing power of BCST. It helps me to be a loving father to my daughter and a loving human. It allows me to care for the world and to try to reach out to marginalized communities, that I may steward my power and privilege responsibly.
